MDM Team is an engineering company founded in 2012 by a group of professors and researchers of the Department of Industrial Engineering of the University of Florence.
Our expertise
MDM Team combines several leading experts to support consultancy and designing for a large number of engineering applications, such as:
- Design and prototyping of complex mechatronics systems
- CAD design
- FEM analysis
- Development of mathematical models and software for real-time simulations
- Homologation/certification of systems and components.

Marini Lorenzo, Ph.D.
Current Position: CEO
Lorenzo Marini has a Doctoral Degree in Industrial Engineering from University of Florence. His current research interest covers design, modeling and dynamical simulation of surface and underwater vehicles.

Vincenzo Calabrò, Ph.D.
Current Position: CTO
Vincenzo Calabrò has a Doctoral Degree in Robotics and Automation Engineering from University of Pisa. His current research interest covers modeling, optimization, guidance and control of surface and underwater vehicles.

Technical Team
D'Amante Angelo, M. Sc.
Current Position: Integration and Software Design
Angelo D'Amante has a Master Degree in Computer Science Engineering from University of Florence. His current research interest covers software design, software quality metrics and human machine interfaces for surface and underwater vehicles.

Marco Pagliai, Ph.D.
Current Position: Mechanical Design and Production Leader
Marco Pagliai is a Mechanical Engineer with large experience on design of underwater vehicles and mechatronics systems. He earned a Ph.D. in industrial Engineer from University of Florence (class 2019). In the last years, he is currently focusing on design manufacturing and testing of underwater vehicles and marine systems.
